Twenty-six eps are on order for new CGI-animated comedy series Fanboy and Chum Chum for Nickelodeon.

A spin-off from the upcoming Nicktoons Network anthology series Random! Cartoons, the series combines classic squash-and-stretch animation with CGI tech. It revolves around the 10-year-old Fanboy, a fearless comic book lover and his best friend and partner-in-crime Chum Chum, and there’s nothing more normal than living life in tights and a cape.

The series was created by Eric Robles (Ni Hao, Kai-lan, The X’s, Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy) and executive produced by Robles, Steve Tompkins (The Bernie Mac Show, Entourage, The Simpsons) and Fred Seibert (Frederator’s Random! Cartoons).
