On the move

CBBC (London, England, 44-208-743-8000): The Beeb has tapped Damian Kavanagh to take on the role of CBBC controller being vacated by Anne Gilchrist, who's leaving the post to join BBC's In-House Comedy department. Kavanagh is starting in his new remit later this year with a one-year term, and will oversee all programs and multiplatform commissioning for CBBC and its BBC One and Two dedicated blocks. He moves over from the role of BBC Daytime head of planning and scheduling, where he served as executive producer on reality shows such as Escape to The Country. Prior to that, he worked as an indie commissioning executive and head of scheduling at BBC Children's.
