Vancouver, Canada-based Nerd Corps Entertainment has gotten the greenlight from Canuck kidnet YTV for season two of League of Super Evil (insert maniacal laughter here).

The animated series will be getting another 26 x half-hour eps, and is headed into production this fall. Nerd Corps will also be creating 30-second shorts tied to each episode for use as bonus on-air content.

Meanwhile, the prodco’s distribution team has been busily locking down sales for both seasons, adding Nickelodeon in the Nordic territories, Spain, Portugal and Benelux, Noga in Israel and MBC in the Middle East. Cartoon Network Asia, which has broadcast and merch rights for 25 countries in the region, has also snagged season two.

Nerd Corps has also been working on an online world of virtual super villains and a multi-player online collectible card game of DOOM. Phase one launched in August, and the card game is slated to debut this winter. LeagueofSuperEvil.com is the first project produced wholly in-house by the company’s interactive division.
