As the WotWots gears up for its UK toy launch next week, worldwide licensing agent and master toy partner Hasbro is holding a promo day at the London Zoo on September 29.
Dubbed WotWots Fun Day, the event is intending to announce the launch of a new toy line at UK retail on October 1, which will also be supported by an extensive TV and press campaign. A new interactive website has also just launched at www.wotwots.com, featuring games, TV clips, event listings, news updates and product information.
Meanwhile, Hasbro’s been keeping busy inking deals with a number of new licensees this month, including Amscan for party ware products, slated for a February 2010 launch in Australia/New Zealand, along with Caprice Australia for quilt covers/sheets and Caprice Footwear for joggers, flip flops and rainboots in the territory around the same time.
Design Works is releasing branded apparel and sleepwear this month down under, while, Headstart International is introducing flipout couches, wooden tables/chairs in Q1 2010. Hot Topic will be manufacturing jumbo-size scrap books, activity and art sets (February 2010), Hunter Leisure is on board for children’s character costumes, bikes and trikes (Q1 2010), Kinnerton will be releasing confectionery in December 2010 and also in Australia and New Zealand, Just Premiums is rolling out Tufty Flufty headbands this month, while TMI launches gift-packed underwear in October.
