Aardman Animations’ Timmy Time is getting a second season, as CBeebies orders another 26 episodes of the preschool series.
The 10-minute eps will follow the 52 already in production and are scheduled to begin shooting in June 2010.
Meanwhile, the property has continued attracting new UK licensees, including Next (apparel), Blues Clothing (outerwear and leisure), Worlds Apart (ready beds and children’s furniture) and Mookie Toys (playballs), and Egmont has snapped up the UK and Commonwealth rights, while Titan Magazines will be producing a monthly comic for the UK and Ireland.
As for Wallace & Gromit, Aardman Rights has inked a deal with publisher and distributor Haynes for a branded manual. Slated for a rollout this fall, the book series will reveal the inner workings of Wallace’s array of contraptions featured in the TV series and films.
