Toronto-based prodco Breakthrough Films & Television has got the greenlight from Teletoon Canada to produce primetime family comedy series Crash Canyon.
Breakthrough will be producing 13 half-hour eps with Joel Cohen, co-executive producer on The Simpsons, as well as series creator Jam Filled Entertainment in Ottawa.
The series follows the life of the Wendell family, who’ve driven off a cliff and landed in an inescapable canyon where they meet other misfits who have been stuck there for years and have created a make-shift community known as Crash Canyon.
