HIT Movies develops first feature film

Thomas & Friends will be the first HIT Entertainment property to get the feature film treatment from the company’s movie division, which was formed this past spring.

Shrek the Third writer Josh Klausner has signed on to develop the Thomas script for a live-action film with CG-animation, slated for a spring 2011 theater release. It will come on the heels of Thomas the Tank Engine’s 65th anniversary in 2010 and debut of all-new CG animated series.
