Michael Goldsmith has been busily settling into his new role as director of original programming for Family Channel and Playhouse Disney Canada and he’s brought Sarah Haasz to join his exec team.

She’ll be stepping into the role of production executive, original programming at both nets, and the two will be putting together a development and production slate, which includes new Canuck tween series Baxter, Overruled!, Connor Undercover, Wingin’ It (formerly Angel on Campus), TV movies Vacation With Derek, and series such as Justin Time and Stella and Sam. Haasz will also be overseeing incoming submissions for all project proposals, and leading the creative aspects of development and production.

She comes to the Astral Media family armed with kids experience from Canuck pubcaster CBC, Bardel Entertainment and Corus Entertainment.
