The 40th anniversary celebrations for Sesame Street have begun, and American Apparel has teamed up with the Workshop to produce a limited-edition run of classic tees.

Arriving in stores this month, the line will feature original line drawings of Jim Henson’s characters printed on AA garments, spanning the last 40 years from individual Muppets to pictures of the entire cast.

The tees will be sold in 25 AA stores across the globe, as well as online. The retailer will also look to translate the images to kids sizes, thanks to the recent relaunch and expansion of its American Apparel Kids line.
