Five new animated series will be heading for US kidcaster qubo and its blocks on ION Television, NBC and Telemundo.

Shelldon premieres next week, following the adventures of the title character, a star shell and his sea-creature friends in their underwater community of Shell Land. The series is produced by Shellhut Entertainment and distributed by Classic Media.

Willa’s Wild Life is getting its US premiere after a September sneak-peek, based on Dan Yaccarino’s picture book An Octopus Followed Me Home about the title six-year-old critter collector and is produced by Nelvana.

Rescue Heroes, also produced by Nelvana, will debut this month exclusively on qubo, and revolves around emergency response professionals.

Two other Nelvana productions, Pippi Longstocking, based on the classic kidlit character, and urban fairy comedy Pearlie will air exclusively on qubo.

New eps of Babar will air on qubo broadcast blocks and qubo Channel, along with the return of Jane and the Dragon and an exclusive of 3-2-1 Penguins!.
