Corus Entertainment is gearing up for the November 2 launch of the 24-hour digital channel Nickelodeon Canada, which is kicking off with animated CGI series Fanboy and Chum Chum.
The series debuts on November 2 at 7 p.m. ET and will also air on Saturdays and Sundays at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The new Nick sked will see a variety of live-action comedies airing weekdays from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m, which include The Mighty B!, and exclusives The Naked Brothers Band and Romeo!, along with tween-targeted series Drake & Josh and iCarly.
On the animated front, Nick Canada viewers will see the likes of DreamWorks Animation’s The Penguins of Madagascar and SpongeBob SquarePants and The Fairly OddParents, airing weekdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Exclusive to the network will be classics such as Rocko’s Modern Life, Rugrats, The Angry Beavers, CatDog and Ren & Stimpy.
Nick Jr. series will also find a home weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., including Dora The Explorer, Go, Diego Go!, The Backyardigans, Wonder Pets!, Blue’s Clues and Ni Hao, Kai-lan, along with Canuck preschool series Max & Ruby and Nelvana’s My Friend Rabbit.
Other shows joining the Nick lineup include True Jackson, VP, Back at the Barnyard, H2O – Just Add Water, Danny Phantom, Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and the premiere of The Troop in January 2010.
Original Canuck series such as Grossology, Willa’s Wild Life, Jibber Jabber, Will & Dewitt, Kid vs. Kat and League of Super Evil, will round out the sked.
