In the lead up to the 60th birthday of Charlie Brown and co. in 2010, licensing agency CPLG and United Media has teamed up with German BILD charity Ein Herz für Kinder (A Heart for Children).

Peanuts licensees who support the charity with a donation will be eligible to use a specially designed anniversary style guide called Then and Now or the regular style guide. And at the annual Ein Herz für Kinder TV charity gala on December 12, CPLG, will hand over a check for approximately US$150,000 to the charity, funded by participating licensees, United Media and CPLG.

Meanwhile, United Labels is launching a range of Peanuts products during the charity campaign, with branded gift articles, apparel and household items. Other long-term Peanuts partners (i.e. Tex-Ass, Santex and Saborn) will participate with apparel, including t-shirts, nightwear and sportswear. United License Company is on-board for footwear, Carlsen will publish an anniversary edition of The Big Peanuts Book, Heye Verlag has a huge 2011 calendar range planned, Graphic Solutions will offer ‘tidy-up-your-room’ systems and Kalfany will release Peanuts sweets.

New partners are also coming on-board, such as Rottendorf-based s.Oliver with four ranges for women, men and children.
