MTV Networks International has been keeping busy on the consumer products and program sales front.

Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products in Germany will be extending its partnership with Panini Verlags for another two years for a range of branded books and magazines. These will include a Dora the Explorer bi-monthly magazine and SpongeBob SquarePants story book, comic, soft cover coloring books, book of postcards, summer activity book and wall calendar. The products will be available across Austria, Germany and Switzerland starting this winter at airports and all leading book shops, department stores, stationery shops, kiosks and supermarkets, and mail order.

On the TV side, Avatar is set to air on Hong Kong’s TVB channel. Already sold to ATV, it’s the first time ever a show has aired on both the territory’s only FTA broadcasters.

NRK (Norway) has picked up Dora the Explorer, Canal+ (France) will air Back to the Barnyard and France 3 now has Tak & the Power of Juju.

Since last year’s launch of MTVNHD, MTVNI has signed its first-ever HD deal for iCarly (seasons one and two) with Globo TV (Brazil). Other LatAm territories have also snapped up deals for Nickelodeon-branded blocks, including Teleamazonas (Ecuador) and Antena Latina (Dominican Republic, renewal), bringing such series as Fairly OddParents, Drake & Josh and SpongeBob to the territories.

MTVNI has also sold a new package deal with Teletica (Costa Rica) for Ni Hai Kai-lan and Mighty B!.
