UK-based Cake Entertainment is venturing into the digital world via a new co-production deal with UK-based animator Junior Jesman and Blue-Zoo Productions. Additionally, the distributor’s just inked a pan-Euro deal for 2-D toon Stoked with Disney.

The new CGI, 52 x one-minute adventure seriesIf I Was… was developed by Blue-Zoo Productions from an idea created by Junior Jesman, an animator discovered on video aggregator DailyMotion.

If I Was… follows children as they imagine what would happen if their wishes came true. Each clip is based on real-life kid monologues, rants or raps made online using preset avatars. The kids are rewarded with a voice-driven avatar animation of their own story in return.

The web-based initiative follows Cake’s November launch of a fully integrated web portal created by JCA, provider of media management services to the digital, TV and film industry.

On the distribution front, Cake has also just sold animated tween series Stoked to Disney’s EMEA channels. The 26 x 22-minute series produced by Toronto, Canada-based Fresh TV is scheduled to air in 2010 on Disney Channel across CEE and Disney XD in the UK, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
