After 15 years at Nickelodeon UK, Howard Litton has announced he’s stepping down from his position as the net’s SVP and MD.

Litton told KidScreen he has a few interesting projects that he’s looking at, but his immediate plans are to spend time with his family before jumping back into the kids entertainment business.

In the meantime, MTV has started looking for a replacement. Steve Grieder, EVP of Nickelodeon International & Programme Sales for MTV Networks International will oversee day-to-day operations of Nick UK until a new UK boss is recruited. There’s no word yet on possible candidates, but there have been a number of high-profile departees in the UK kids broadcasting biz in the last few months that could throw their hats into the ring.
