London-based preschool prodco Ludorum has a slate of new deals with broadcast and consumer products partners throughout Asia for preschool boy-centric property Chuggington.
Chuggington is expanding its reach in Asia with new terrestrial berths in Hong Kong (TVB), Malaysia (TV3) and Taiwan (YOYO TV), and basic pay channel, Truevisions kids in Thailand. Chuggington also debuted in Singapore on TV12 in November.
Medialink, which Ludorum recently signed as Chuggington’s agent in the region has now secured 14 licensees across product categories including publishing, apparel and footwear, play sets, stationery, party ware, watches, clocks and accessories. Product will launch in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Taiwan in spring 2010 alongside RC2’s toy line. Further deals are in negotiation across more product categories and will be finalized during Hong Kong Licensing Show.
The property’s Asian licensees include: Vendermac (stationery/back packs/partyware), Pacific Gear (playsets/creative play/inflatable pool toys), T&G Holding (watches/clocks), Supervalu (apparel/shoes), Harmony Creative Ventures (accessories, umbrella/PVC swim bag), Pelican Publishing (magazine/activity books), J-Tex (bedding/homewares), Xtension Pacific (underwear/sleepwear), PT Adinata Melodi Kreasi (bags/stationery), Dung Jin (stationery/homewares) and Anywell (footwear).
