Since his recent appointment as chairman of Walt Disney Studios, Ross has been keeping busy as he restructures the exec ranks. His most recent move includes bringing Sean Bailey on board as president of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production.

Bailey’s new role has him overseeing all aspects of live-action development, film production and physical production for Walt Disney Pictures and Touchstone Pictures, backed by his feature film producing credits that include Matchstick Men, Gone Baby Gone and the upcoming Disney flick Tron Legacy. As founder and president of prodco Idealogy, Bailey’s also co-founded integrated media firm, LivePlanet with Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Chris Moore.

Meanwhile, 23-year Disney vet Chuck Viane, president of distribution for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, will take on all aspects of international sales and distribution across 70 countries, adding to his ongoing duties of overseeing domestic sales and distribution operations.

As part of Ross’s shuffle, Christine Cadena, currently SVP of marketing, synergy and franchise development, will now become SVP of multicultural initiatives to lead all diversity and multicultural efforts. Michelle Sewell has been upped to SVP of global publicity, looking after domestic and international publicity departments, and will formulate and execute worldwide publicity campaigns for all live-action and animated motion pictures.

In other Disney news, preschoolers will start moving to a new beat as short-form series Dance-A-Lot Robot revs up for its debut on Saturday, February 27 at 6:25 a.m.. The animation/live-action series stars the titular characters that teach wee ones simple dance steps; the shorts will strip daily on Playhouse Disney.
