A new partnership between Spin Master Entertainment and Hollywood animation studio Titmouse will see the two co-developing and producing The Special Offers.
Featuring the music of Gina Schock (best-known as drummer for all-girl band the Go Go’s), the series follows four misfit kids who bond over their love of music, forming the titular band. Each ep will feature an original song, which will be compiled and distributed as a soundtrack album at the end of the season. A live-touring version of the band is also planned for between seasons.
Schock has penned hits for tween singers Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Miranda Cosgrove. She’ll be a producer on the series, and SME’s Matt Wexler and Jennifer Picherack, and Titmouse’s Keith Fay and Shannon Prynoski will serve as executive producers of the series.
Meanwhile, the two companies will take the show to market. Spin Master will serve as the global L&M agent and toy maker for the brand, while Titmouse will create the animated musical series and hold the global music rights.
