Focusing more on the growth of new IPs, HIT Entertainment has brought on four experts to a newly formed global advisory committee. Meanwhile, its development team has greenlit development of two new projects and it’s done some shuffling of its exec ranks.

Those projects include animated comedy For the Birds, from Tom Ruegger (Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain) and writer/producer Randy Rogel, targeting kids eight to 11, that follows the adventures of Earl E. Bird.

And music-driven Zip, Zip, Zippy encourages preschoolers to physically participate in story-based adventures, starring a live-action host in an animated world of animals and children. The series was created by Jeanine Kay and Luciana Brafman.

As for its exec team, Chris Rose has been promoted to VP of programming and development, and Christina Schick steps into to the newly created position of director of development.

Its new HIT global advisory committee will guide the development and programming teams, as well a act as an educational resource for HIT’s writers and producers through the creative process. Joining the new committee are Dr. David Buckingham, Dr. Sandra Calvert, Dr. Renee Cherow-O’Leary, and Dr. Wendy Sims.
