Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE) and L.A.-based apparel manufacturer Mighty Fine are partnering to create a line of t-shirts based on popular characters from Cartoon Network’s classic television series for US trend retailer Hot Topic.
Beginning this spring, iconic characters from six of the network’s series, including Johnny Bravo, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Dexter’s Laboratory, Cow and Chicken, Samurai Jack and Ed, Edd & Eddy, will be featured in a new apparel line. The two-year deal will yield a full line of young men’s and junior’s t-shirts, knit tops and fleece that will debut at Hot Topic’ chain of mall-based stores and then roll out to other specialty and mid-tier retailers nationwide.
