London-based Chapman Entertainment is pairing up its preschool property Fifi and the Flowertots with the British Science Association to mark the UK’s National Science and Engineering Week from March 12 to March 21.

Chapman has designed material using Fifi as an ambassador for the week-long campaign called ‘What on Earth,’ which will encourage children to discover their natural surroundings.

As part of the program kids will take photos in local parks or their own backyards of something they don’t recognise and then upload them to www.whatonearth.org.uk. The aim is to spot, collect and identify as many species as possible over the course of the week, painting a picture of UK wildlife.

Downloadable, printable What on Earth activity materials will appear on both the Fifi and British Science Association websites in the lead up event. The series airs on Five’s Milkshake block and Nick Jr. UK.
