Virgin Media to carry Cartoonito in the UK

Virgin Media has announced a new agreement with Turner Broadcasting UK to bring preschool channel Cartoonito to Virgin's 3.7 million digital TV subscribers for the first time, as well as a range of Cartoonito shows to Virgin's on-demand service.

Virgin Media has announced a new agreement with Turner Broadcasting UK to bring preschool channel Cartoonito to Virgin’s 3.7 million digital TV subscribers for the first time, as well as a range of Cartoonito shows to Virgin’s on-demand service.

Virgin Media has also secured the rights to range of Turner content for its online and mobile services.

Cartoonito, home to shows such as Fireman Sam, the Care Bears and Hi-5, will be included in the lineup of channels available to customers on Virgin Media ‘L’ or ‘XL’ TV pack beginning next month. It joins the raft of Turner channels already available on Virgin Media, including Cartoon Network, Boomerang and CN Too, international news channel CNN, and classic film channel TCM (Turner Classic Movies). The Turner Broadcasting on-demand offering will also ramp up with shows such Cartoonito Karaoke.

The online elements of the deal include a range of TV on-demand, including shows such as Cartoon Network’s Ben 10 and Boomerang’s Scooby-Doo, as well as new content from Cartoonito.
