California-based Licensing Works is bringing John Gildea on-board its executive sales team.
A seasoned senior executive with more 25 years in the management of intellectual property, Gildea will work to expand the firm’s growing IP portfolio.
Gildea worked at Hasbro for 17 years, where he served as VP of licensing and consumer promotions before becoming SVP of new business development for Hasbro Interactive. He is also credited with creating the licensing division at the company.
He also most recently served for five years as SVP of consumer products at Cookie Jar Entertainment, where he was responsible for developing and implementing the company’s consumer products licensing strategy.
