Toronto, Canada’s Shaftsbury Films has named former CCI Entertainment exec Gord McIlquham as SVP of Finance and former Discovery exec Katherine Wolfgang as VP of communications.

In her newly created role, Wolfgang will oversee Shaftsbury’s communications strategy and global industry profile, including corporate, trade, internal and production communications. Sue Baldaro, director of Publicity, will continue to manage the company’s production publicity and talent management activities. With a 15-year background in the Canadian, US and international television industry, Wolfgang joins Shaftesbury from Discovery Communications’ global headquarters in Washington D.C., where she served as VP of international communications.

In his role as SVP of finance, McIlquham will oversee all financial aspects and governance for Shaftesbury, including corporate finance, treasury, tax and operations.

Both are based at Shaftesbury’s headquarters in Toronto, Canada.
