Spanish children’s prodco Imira Entertainment has signed a raft of sales agreements across its animation library with Portuguese public broadcaster RTP.

The deal includes series from Imira’s third party library such as CJ the DJ (52 x 11 minutes) and book-based The Way Things Work (26 x 13 minutes) for six- to 12-year-olds from Millimages, Tangerine & COW (78 x 7-minutes) from Normaal Animation and France Télévisions and Shaolin Whuzang (26 x 26 minutes) from ZDF Enterprises. New music-based Flash animated preschool series Saari (39 x 3-minutes), produced by Imira with Stor Fisk and TV3, has also been sold.

Other presales for Saari have been signed with YLE in Finland, Norway’s NRK, Sweden’s SVT, Disney Channels (Spain and Italy), Cartoon Network Japan and S4C in Wales.

In each episode of Saari, Pulpo the octopus, Buu the lady owl, the sensitive Pii and Rikiki the bohemian bird explore the imaginary world of Saari, finding unexpected and funny ways to face the challenges of childhood.
