IMAX and Walt Disney Studios are releasing more 3D pictures to IMAX theaters in 2011. The titles included are Mars Needs Moms, slated for release on March 11, 2011, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides out May 20, 2011 and Cars 2, which will be released on June 25, 2011.
Each title will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of the IMAX Experience.
The announcement was fueled by the strong performance of Disney’s IMAX releases in 2009 and 2010 as well as the growing network of digital IMAX locations.
