Teletoon Canada has appointed Matthew Waddell to the position of creative director, where he will be responsible for the branding, on-air promotion, graphic design and off-channel creative for the Teletoon, Teletoon at Night and Teletoon Retro brands in both English and French.
Waddell will also lead the Teletoon Studios team in the development of creative ideas and the delivery of all on-air elements, sales promotions and network marketing support.
Most recently, Waddell worked at Astral Television Networks as associate creative director. In this role, he played a large part in rebranding The Movie Network, launching, packaging and promoting HBO Canada and overseeing a team of producers for The Movie Network, Mpix, HBO Canada and Viewers Choice.
