Disney Channels Worldwide has appointed former Nick exec Jimmy Blackburn to the post of VP of programming research.
Blackburn will direct a team of TV and digital media researchers for the Disney Channels Worldwide portfolio – Disney Channel, Disney XD, Playhouse Disney (soon to be rebranded Disney Junior), ABC Kids, Radio Disney – and their related digital platforms. His responsibilities include planning, development and analysis of audience data and he’s also a key advisor to executive management on the programming, scheduling, acquisitions, marketing, media relations, ad sales and finance teams.
Blackburn spent the past 10 years at Nickelodeon where he most recently held the position of senior director of Nick Kids & Family audience research.
