Nickelodeon Land paves way in Blackpool

Nickelodeon and UK tourist attraction Blackpool Pleasure Beach have entered into a new licensing partnership which will see the first Nick-branded attraction on England's soil.

Nickelodeon and UK tourist attraction Blackpool Pleasure Beach have entered into a new licensing partnership which will see the first Nick-branded attraction on England’s soil.

Pleasure Beach, Blackpool has invested US$16 million in Nickelodeon Land, which will feature new rides, attractions, retail shops, games and food service establishments themed with Nickelodeon’s properties, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. The new venture joins other several Nick-branded attractions and parks around the world. Construction for the attraction begins this fall and it’s set to open its doors to the public in April 2011.
