This year’s Cinekid Festival, taking place in Amsterdam from October 20 to 29, is amping up its Cinekid for Professionals Conference (October 27 and 28).
The annual CineKid Festival, which organizes events in Amsterdam that focus on children and media, is welcoming this two-day workshop in an effort to offer professionals an opportunity to keep in touch with the latest developments in the field and expand their professional network.
Speakers at the professional event will include producer and scriptwriter David Freeman (Pixar, Disney and Aardman Animations), augmented reality specialist James Alliban (Skive), and Kevin Haug, visual effects specialist (The Kite Runner, Quantum of Solace). On October 26 and specifically for Dutch professionals, Z@pp, the Dutch public television children’s channel, will be presenting the Prix Jeunesse Suitcase on Humour and Children’s TV.
The Conference’s first day will emphasize recent developments within children and media space and will touch on scriptwriting for children and augmented reality and animation. On the second day there will be more specialised sessions with time for discussion.
