The Jim Henson Company has started production on an all-new second season of CGI-animated preschool series Dinosaur Train for PBS KIDS.

The new season consisting of 26 half-hour episodes will premiere next fall in the US. The show’s second season will continue to focus on scientific thinking and learning about plants and animals against the backdrop of prehistoric jungles, swamps, volcanoes and oceans. The season will also bring new games to Dinosaur Train’s interactive website.

The second season, which will remain co-produced by Singapore-based Sparky Animation, will be presented to international buyers next month at MIPCOM.
