Little Airplane Productions’ new 26 x three-minute short-form animated series Small Potatoes is heading to next month’s MIPCOM with news of a major pre-sale agreement with Playhouse Disney in the US.
The series has already been sold to CBeebies in the UK, NRK in Norway, SVT in Sweden, ABC TV in Australia and TVO and Knowledge in Canada. ABC Commercial, meanwhile, has also just completed a deal for the Australian music and home entertainment rights to the show.
The series, created and directed by Josh Selig, founder and president of New York City-based Little Airplane Productions, follows the adventures of a band of four singing potatoes, with every episode representing a different phase of the band’s career.
The series marks the company’s first preschool property designed specifically to work across multimedia platforms that include TV, games, music, publishing, Apps, film, consumer products and the web.
