Nickelodeon Consumer Products (NCP) has made two executive moves in its international division, with NCP exec Trudi Hayward moving in as VP of consumer products for the UK and Australia, and Jeremy Poreca relocating from NCP offices in New York to join the London-based team as director of international retail development. The moves were announced by NCP’s newly appointed SVP of international consumer products, Michael Connolly, at this week’s Brand Licensing Europe 2010.
Based in London, Hayward will lead all UK and Australia licensing efforts, advancing areas such as category expansion, property management and retail initiatives. Most recently, Hayward served as VP of European sales for MTVNI where her remit covered driving the European MTV CP program, multi-territory Nick deals and direct-to-retail deals. Hayward will be replacing former VP of consumer products Clare Piggott, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.
In his newly created position, Poreca will be developing marketing, promotional and advertising programs for NCP’s largest global retail partners. He will also identify and expand retail opportunities in close coordination with Nickelodeon’s regional network and consumer product operations and licensing and promotional partners on a multi-territory basis. His previous roles have included senior manager of retail development for HIT Entertainment and marketing manager at Random House Children’s Books.
And in other NCP news, the company has forged its first global kiosk deal with Hewlett-Packard that will feature new photo products feature hit Nick properties.
The agreement, which runs through the end of 2012, will enable consumers to use Hewlett-Packard technology and self-service in-store digital printing kiosks to produce photo products such as posters, photo cards, photo books, calendars and flip books that will feature properties including Dora the Explorer and The Wonder Pets.
The printing kiosks were introduced in the US earlier this year at Walmart, Duane Reade and Meijer locations and will continue to launch this fall in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK before an extended global roll-out next year across further markets including Austria, Benelux, Nordic, France, Hungary, Italy, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey.
