Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products continues to bolster the licensing program for The Simpsons and Ladies of Springfield brands, with new deals and content for the EMEA region announced today at Brand Licensing Europe 2010, currently underway in London, England.
For the UK market, High street retailer New Look will be supporting The Simpsons in boys t-shirts for the first time supplied by Blues Clothing for fall 2010, and Primark will be stocking children’s underwear supplied by Somerbond. Following this year’s launch of the Ladies of Springfield nightwear range from Aykroyds, Next will be supporting the brand for 2011 and extending its selection to include footwear from Brand International.
Toy partner Halsall Toys International (HTI) will launch a Fun Toys range of pocket money toys for 2011 and new partner Robert Frederick will bring branded storage boxes to market. Current licensee DNC will be extending its Back To School offering at retail, having recently signed a deal to be the new stationery partner for The Simpsons brand.
New licensee Dairy Partners has signed on to produce Cheese Swirlers, and Maitres Laitiers Du Contentin is developing new skus including yoghurt tubes and pouches. Long-term partner Ferrero is also currently running a Back to School Kinder Surprise promotion in Italy, Spain and Portugal.
The longest running primetime comedy in television history, The Simpsons has garnered more than 400 licensees with worldwide retail sales reaching US$8 billion.
