HBO Latin American is set to broadcast tween series The Wannabes Starring Savvy as the show secures additional international distribution. Airing in November on the HBO Family Channel in Latin America, the series will be accompanied by promotional and concert appearances throughout Latin America by The Jonas Group and the pop group Savvy.
The deal was brokered on behalf of Stern-LeMaire Productions by Showcase for Kids principal, David Jackson, and director of International Sales, Scott Bedno.
The 26-episode series premiered in Australia in March and currently airs on ABC1 and ABC3. The series, which also airs in Israel on NOGA The Children Channel and is licensed in 60 countries, will continue to roll out to other countries worldwide and is currently in the process of securing US distribution.
Starring pop recording artists Savvy, The Wannabes Starring Savvy follows high school students who want to be pop stars. The show features an original Savvy music video in each episode.
