Continuing with its slew of recent appointments, Sesame Workshop has promoted Maura Regan to SVP and GM of global consumer products. Jessica Giat, meanwhile, has been named VP of licensing and partner relations, reporting into Regan.
Regan will oversee global retail business across all major categories of licensed goods, including toys, packaged goods, apparel, home furnishings, stationery and gifts. Giat, for her part, will look after Sesame Workshop’s master toy license – coordinating activities on a worldwide basis, analyzing activities by territory and monitoring the overall account with a global perceptive. She will also work closely with the Education and Research team to ensure that the educational goals of the Workshop are factored into the development process.
Previously, Regan served as VP and GM of global consumer products at Sesame Workshop. Prior to joining the Workshop in 1999, she was director of international licensing at Scholastic Entertainment and director of international licensing at MTV Networks.
Previously, Giat ran the licensing and brand management company You, Me and the Lamppost, where she provided consultation services to brand owners and manufacturers. Prior to that, she was global director of consumer products, licensing and branding at Penguin Putnam Division for Young Readers.
