MTV Networks Latin America is forging ahead with the production of more long-format content for its Nick audience in the region.

The success of Nickelodeon Latin America’s telenovela series Isa TKMM has spawned a second series Isa TK+, produced in Bogota along with an integrated digital site, Guaridaazul.com. Isa TKMM also recently made its way to the US on TR3s: MTV, Música y Más, as well as on broadcast television networks in Latin America, Spain, Italy and Slovenia.

Building on the success of the Isa franchise, MTV Latin America partnered with SPT to produce its first telenovela, Niñas Mal, in Bogota. It’s also pairing up with Televisa and Illusion Studios for Nickelodeon’s newest series, Sueña Conmigo, taped in Buenos Aires. The latter also comes with a fully integrated digital site, www.soytusperstar.com.

More than 250 hours of original programming have been commissioned in the region by MTVNLA, and Nick has several series in development including Grachi, a 75-episode live-action HD series slated for spring 2011.
