A Squared Entertainment (A2) and AOL have teamed with supermodel Gisele Bündchen on a new environmental multimedia property, Gisele & the Green Team, which will live on AOLKids.

Launching today, the website and corresponding web series focuses on educating and empowering young girls to help save the planet through 26 short-form animated webisodes and a slew of interactive activities.

The animated web series is co-produced by A2, the L.A.-based brand entertainment company created by kid industry vets Andy Heyward and Amy Moynihan Heyward last year, and Chinese digital animation studio Xing Xing. The toon follows a group of teenage girls who lead double lives as supermodels and environmental superheroes. The site will feature a Girl Power section that includes inner and outer beauty tips and activities that promote self-awareness.

A2 also enlisted the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), for which Bündchen is a designated goodwill ambassador, to help create the Go Green section on the site that will highlight daily tips, facts and news about environmental action and awareness.
