UK Penguin division Ladybird Books has launched an iPad, iPhone and iPod touch app called The Baby Touch Peekaboo App, which targets babies as young as six months old.
The app marks the first touch-screen extension of the popular Baby Touch series and uses completely tap-based functionality to make objects move and activate sounds.
Using animation, voiceover and sound effects, the app is specifically designed to facilitate babies’ development of visual, motor and language skills.
