ABC Commercial has sold CGI series the WotWots to South Korea’s C4U Entertainment, which will air the animated series on Kids 1 starting in March.
The sale comes amid current series success in the market with Korean Distribution Company Kenny & Co placing it on Kids Talk Talk and JEI TV, with the latter planning to dub each episode in Korean.
Produced by Pukeko Pictures and made at Richard Taylor’s Weta Workshop, the preschool series follows two puppet-like aliens who come to explore planet Earth in their steam-powered spaceship.
The 52 x 10-minute-series will be broadcast in Korean.
