HIT Entertainment has snapped up the rights to develop Diary of a Worm, Diary of a Fly and Diary of a Spider properties based on the books by author Doreen Cronin.
HIT will develop the books into an animated program, Diary of a Worm, Spider, and Fly (working title), aimed at kids ages three to five. A coordinating science curriculum will be developed alongside the series as will a new series of characters.
The Diary books, published by HarperCollins, have sold more than three million copies in trade and book club formats.
