UK brand manager Coolabi has forged a series of toy and licensing deals for its new animated series Poppy Cat, which will make its UK debut on Nick Jr. in May followed by a global rollout.

The licensing deals include a book publishing tie-in with Macmillan that will hit stores in fall 2011, a regular feature in two Redan magazines, a spring 2012 preschool nightwear and underwear line from Aykroyd and TDP and a series of games and puzzles from Jumbo Games, which will launch in 2012.

Poppy Cat , co-produced by King Rollo and television production arm Coolabi Productions, follows the world of the preschool children’s character created by Lara Jones in the Macmillan book series. The series has also been presold to international territories including Nick Jr Australia, RTE Ireland, YLE Finland, TV2 Norway, and TVO, SCN and Knowledge Network in Canada.
