Entertainment One (eOne) Family and Nick Jr. UK have committed to a second series of Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom for 2012.

Animation studio Astley Baker Davies will start production on the new 52-episode series this summer that will be shown in the UK before rolling out in the rest of the world. Following the first series, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom has now been sold to more than 150 territories worldwide.

Along with the news of a second season, eOne is investing in the development of the official Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom website at www.littlekingdom.co.uk, which has been refreshed with new content and will re-launch this month.

On the consumer products side, Entertainment One (eOne) is expanding the licensing program for Humf, with Aurora World coming on-board as the preschool property’s first toy partner.

Aurora World will be developing a line of Humf soft toys for launch in the UK in September that includes plush key rings, plush beanies, plush toys and plush toys featuring sound chips.

eOne’s first DVD release Humf and the Balloons launched in August. A second DVD Humf and the Big Boots is slated for release this month and a third DVD will be released in the fall to coincide with the soft toy and the publishing launch from international publishing partner Igloo Books.

The brand entered the digital market just before the holidays, when the first Humf iPhone app was launched by games publisher P2 Games. eOne is now looking to sign further licensing partners across categories such as Greetings, Gifting, Toys, Stationery, Art and Crafts and Apparel to launch from January 2012.
