Preschool franchise WordWorld is poised to execute, manage and build global licensing partnerships in-house under a new direct-service licensing model after concluding its representation deal with 4Kids Entertainment.

The move is timed with the upcoming New York Toy Fair and the literacy-based brand’s global licensing program expansion. The company will manage all territories across categories including consumer products, home videos, digital and broadcast rights. However, France Télévisions Distributions will continue to license broadcast and home video rights in English and French, as France 5 continues to air the show, and Exim will continue to manage home video and consumer products licensing rights in Latin America.

The series has garnered more than 20 million viewers globally on broadcasters such as PBS Kids, Discovery Kids Latin America, Playhouse Disney Asia, TVO and France 5.

WordWorld’s consumer-product licensing partnerships include V-Tech, NCircle, Bendon, Celebrate Express, Trevco, Gallamard in France, D’Vinni and Editorial Vertice in Latin America and partnerships in Asia to provide English-language learning programs.
