Thundercats are going to Toy Fair

Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) will debut its lineup of licensed toys and products based on the all-new animated series ThunderCats at New York Toy Fair later this month.

Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) will debut its lineup of licensed toys and products based on the all-new animated series ThunderCats at New York Toy Fair later this month.

The re-imagined 1980s action classic is a collaboration between Warner. Bros. Animation (WBA) and Japanese animation house Studio4°C and will air on Cartoon Network this year. Global master toy licensee Bandai America will head the revamped licensing program along with global licensees including Icon Hero, Hard Hero and Mezco.

The Bandai toy lineup will include ThunderCats 4-inch figures, each of which come includes an embedded magnet that allows the toy to activate features in multiple ThunderCats products. Also rounding out the initial fall 2011 lineup are the ThunderCats 8-inch Classic Figures, based on the classic 1980s animated series, and the ThunderCats Deluxe Sword of Omens.
