Adam Sanderson has been upped to SVP of franchise management at Disney/ABC Television Group (DATG).
In the new post, Sanderson will lead the group’s franchise development strategy and leverage properties created by Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior, Radio Disney, ABC Family, ABC Entertainment Group, ABC News, ABC Daytime and Hyperion Publishing.
Sanderson’s promotion, which marks a strategic move for Disney, now places someone at the helm of the content creation engine with the ability to manage current and future franchises. It’s familiar territory for Sanderson, who has spent the past decade identifying and maximizing Disney Channel kids franchises including High School Musical and Hannah Montana.
