Astral Media-owned Canadian kidcaster Family Channel is marking the final stage of its brand refresh initiative with an updated website that boasts new design features, enhanced minisites and additional activities.
The new family.ca coincides with the recently refreshed on-air Family Channel brand and encourages more exploration and interaction from its young visitors. Among its newest features is a built-in recommendation engine attached to each of the games, series and activities pages, which will drive kids to additional content.
Another upgraded feature is the “Say It” comment boxes on many of the most popular pages, granting kids the opportunity to have their voices heard throughout the site. Additionally, a new homepage has an embedded widescreen video player that reflects the network’s recent HD launch.
The website redesign was done internally at Toronto, Canada-based Astral Media.
