Toys ‘R’ Us is hosting a promotional campaign to mark the March 27th US launch of Nintendo’s new 3DS handheld console, which allows players to enjoy 3D games without the need for special glasses.

From March 27 to April 2, the toy retailer will offer a video game hardware trade-up program for those looking to swap their used Nintendo DS units in the US. Those who want to stock up on the newest games, specifically designed to take advantage of the new system’s 3D capabilities, will find Nintendo 3DS games available at buy one, get one 50% off.

Toys ‘R’ Us is also offering free 3DS demos on March 27, where potential customers can experience new features including three 3D cameras and 3D movie streaming from Netflix.

Toys ‘R’ Us will support the launch of Nintendo 3DS through advertisements in newspaper circulars nationwide on March 27.
