Atlantyca’s Geronimo Stilton franchise is heading into the magazine world with the help of new publishing partners in Spain, Belgium and The Netherlands.

Baeckens Books, publisher of Atlantyca’s Geronimo Stilton book series in Belgium, will launch the first Geronimo Stilton magazine this month for Belgium and The Netherlands . The full-color, 36-page bi-monthly magazine will debut with a first-issue print run of 360,000 copies.

Spanish magazine and newspaper publisher Grupo Z will congruently launch a Spanish-language Geronimo Stilton magazine on April 15. The 68-page monthly Revista Oficial Geronimo Stilton will debut with a first-issue print run of 70,000 copies. Grupo Z is supporting the launch with a marketing campaign that includes spot advertising on children’s TV channels and radio stations and a print campaign in children’s magazines.

The new magazine comes to Spain on the heels of the Geronimo Stilton book series, published by Editorial Planeta, which has sold more than 5.5 million copies in the country.
