The spoils of MIPTV are continuing to show. Coming out of the market is a new licensing agreement between Germany-based Studio100 Media and Austrian public broadcaster ORF for two classic animation properties.

ORF has picked up the exclusive FreeTV and German language rights for Austria for the newly re-mastered 3D-animated series Maya the Bee (78 x 11 minutes) and Vicky the Viking (also 78 x 11 minutes).

Stars of both classic television shows boast a TV career spanning more than 30 years and in their new animated series the characters will be revived and modernized in 3D animation.

Maya the Bee and Vicky the Viking will be produced by Studio100 Animation S.A.S. in association with TF1 and ZDF and will be available for delivery at the end of 2012 and at the end of 2013, respectively.
